⚠️ Firmware Update Policy & Requirements

Firmware updates deliver functional enhancements and resolve known issues. They are optional and not required if the radio is functioning correctly. Review the changelog to determine if an update is right for you. If you are experiencing technical issues, please contact Support before attempting a firmware update.

Authorized Software & Warranty

Use only official BridgeCom firmware and CPS. Damage, hardware failures, or "bricked" devices resulting from the use of unauthorized or third-party firmware and/or software are not covered under warranty. Restoration of these devices to official specifications will incur a standard service and diagnostic fee. All updates are performed at the user's own risk.

Firmware Update Guidelines:

• Back up your codeplug first as all user data and programming will be erased during the MCU reset process.

• Read the Firmware Update Instructions PDF and the Changelog in their entirety before beginning the process.

• A factory reset must be performed immediately after the firmware upload is complete to ensure system stability.

• The version of the CPS used to write to the radio must match the firmware version installed on the device.
