Band errors are typically caused by one of the following issues:
1. Attempting to use an older code plug which was written in an earlier version of CPS or in a different band plan mode then the radio it is being written to. To resolve this, please convert your code plug as shown in the following video:

2. Attempting to enter in frequencies that are either outside of the HAM band or are not allowed in the radio's current band configuration. To resolve this please try using your radio in Professional Mode as shown in the following video:

Please note that before you attempt to program any frequency or channel information into your new radio via the CPS software, you should first READ the default code plug from your radio into CPS and then modify the EXISTING code plug that is already on your radio. In most cases, this will prevent a band error from occurring.
